Kyle A. Lewis, LMFT, LPCC

Founder and CEO

Kyle A. Lewis is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor practicing in San Diego, California. Kyle received his Masters of Science in Professional Clinical Counseling from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. Prior to attending his master’s program, Kyle conferred a Bachelors of Art’s in Psychology from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. 

Early in his educational journey Kyle had the opportunity to travel to Boston, Massachusetts to attend The International Trauma Conference hosted by Dr. Bessel Van Der Kolk as part of a research team studying the effects of trauma on undergraduate student success rates. Since then Kyle has dedicated his practice to assist clients who present with complex trauma, anxiety, and depression. Kyle’s approaches combine his trainings in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

Megan Welch, LMFT

Megan Welch is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has received her BA from San Diego State and her Masters from a small university in east San Diego County. Megan has received training and experience in working with adolescents, adults, family and couples throughout San Diego county and has extensive experience working in a telehealth capacity since 2019.

Megan believes that everyone has the capacity for change and she is happy to offer support to assist her clients in reaching their individual goals. Megan believes that a trusting therapeutic relationship is an essential component to creating the environment where change and growth are possible. Megan’s approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while placing a strong focus on an individual’s innately unique strengths and abilities.

Charissa Ruud, LCSW

Charissa Ruud is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 25 years of experience providing clinical care as a licensed professional. Charissa first began her career providing music therapy to adolescents on the autism spectrum and has since expanded to be licensed in two states as well as work in a variety of therapeutic settings.

Charissa has a vast amount of experience working with clients across all demographics and thrives on the diversity each client presents. Charissa’s experience in providing care to clients touches on a plethora of challenges, including substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, anger management, grief and loss, mood regulation, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and survivors of sexual trauma. Charissa believes that each client’s unique diversity should be considered when helping them work towards living a healthier and more satisfying life.

Molly Watson, LCSW

Molly Watson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who earned her BS from the University of Wisconsin in 2005 and her MSW from Loyola University Chicago in 2016. During her graduate studies, Molly had the privilege of studying grief and loss under Dr. Benjamin Garber at the Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute and has continued to advance this as an area of her clinical specialty. Molly has a rich background working with individuals who have experiences with PTSD, depression, anxiety, autism, low self-esteem, parenting struggles, personality disorders, and adjustments to a variety of life’s stressors.  

Molly has the belief that everyone is good inside and prioritizes providing her clients with a safe and comfortable environment where they can heal the part of their life that does not feel whole to help them become the best version of themselves.  Molly does this by offering a patient, compassionate, and supportive environment while utilizing her training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction strategies.

Summer Hill, AMFT

Summer Hill is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in San Diego, California. Summer received her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University’s School of Professional Psychology in San Diego, California. Prior to attending her master’s program, she conferred a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of California, Santa Cruz.   

Summer strives to offer a warm, relatable, and laid-back therapeutic style, aiming to support her clients by incorporating each aspect of the individual into treatment. Summer approaches therapy with a holistic, client-centered, and strength-based approach to promote each person’s sense of feeling accepted and heard, rather than feeling analyzed and diagnosed. Summer’s approach blends the mind, body, and spirit with evidence-based modalities, including Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Narrative Therapy techniques.

Monika Chalk, AMFT

Monika Chalk is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in San Diego, California. Monika graduated from the University of Phoenix in San Diego, CA with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and a Master of Science in Counseling with a focus on Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy. Monika's time as a former Navy Sailor fueled her desire for assisting Veterans suffering with identity difficulties, isolation, and combat experiences. In addition to being a therapist Monika is a practicing personal trainer where she takes a holistic approach to mental health and total wellness.

Monika practices with treatment modalities that include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Monika has worked with a wide range of clients, addressing issues such as anxiety, grief and loss, gender and cultural identity, PTSD, and sexual trauma. Monika tailors her services to each client, with a heavy emphasis on recognizing and maximizing each person's strengths and abilities.

Brandon McGuckin, ACSW

Brandon McGuckin is an Associate Clinical Social Worker and Therapist practicing in San Diego, California. Brandon graduated from California State University of Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work, and a Masters of Social Work degree through the Advanced Standing Program. Brandon's military service in the Navy as an Intelligence Analyst set the foundation for his desire to engage and make a lasting impact in his community as a therapist, working with community members experiencing difficult and challenging times in their personal and social life. Along with being a therapist, Brandon is a Medical Social Worker, assisting the Geriatric population with stabilizing the household through community resources and services best suited for each patient. 

Brandon practices with treatment modalities that include Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Brandon has worked in multiple settings and environments, addressing issues such as trauma, anxiety, grief and loss, and addiction. Brandon meets clients where they are at by emphasizing and prioritizing the development of psychological safety in the therapeutic relationship. Brandon believes that with respect, understanding, patience, and kindness, we can all overcome the troubling times we are faced with on Earth.

Cindy Bradley is a Southern California native. After traveling the county with her husband while he served in the US Navy, Cindy returned to the same part of San Diego she grew up in. Cindy has strong attention to detail and balances the many aspects of office logistics that ensure a practice is running smoothly. When not serving the clients and staff at Ebb and Flow Psychotherapy, she can be found enjoying time with family or paper crafting with her friends.
